The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering expert services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency claimed it's alarmed in regards to the significant amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme SRD [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant number of status sassa clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office devoted to service the area on a regular basis. The services stage produced for intervention ordeals a superior inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it complicated to the Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this sassa status check reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more sources to help the servicing of all clients and improve use of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
